About Us

Our Vision

We are a collective of Educators, Artists, Technologists and Sevadars committed to the preservation and advancement of Gurmat Sangeet—the Raag-based interpretation of Kirtan as composed in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Our vision is to develop a comprehensive digital learning library that provides structured educational resources on every Shabad rendered in its original Raag. This website includes:

  • Musical notations based on Raag for guided learning
  • High-quality studio audio recordings for listening
  • Professionally produced instructional videos for reference and,
  • Accessible learning pathways designed for students of varying ages and proficiency levels

This library is intended to serve as both an academic reference and a practical learning resource, enabling individuals, institutions, and communities to study and engage with the original essence of Gurbani.

Why Raag-Based Kirtan?

Almost every Shabad in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is tied to a specific Raag, carefully chosen by the Gurus. That Raag sets the spiritual tone, the emotional experience, and the intended mood of the Shabad. Losing this connection is like losing a part of the message itself. Sadly, our generation today haven’t had access to proper Raag-based learning due to lack of resources, guidance, or accessibility. This initiative seeks to change that — making Gurmat Sangeet open, approachable, and beautifully preserved for the generations to come.

🙇‍♂️ Countless Unsung Sevadars - In Gratitude

This project is blessed by the invaluable contributions of countless sevadars who work silently behind the scenes. These dedicated souls generously offer financial support to sustain the project’s operations.

Many of them choose to remain unnamed, declining any recognition.

Their unwavering dedication ensures that this project continues—day after day, Shabad after Shabad—with love, precision, and spiritual integrity.

We offer our deepest gratitude and ardas for these sevadars, whose quiet support forms the spiritual and structural foundation of this entire effort. May their seva be accepted in the court of Guru Sahib and may this treasure of Gurmat Sangeet reach every corner of the Panth, now and for generations to come.
